• 13-inch Gila trout from Mora National Fish Hatchery.

• Are you new to fishing? Casting demonstrations, instruction and equipment will be available.

The event was a huge success! The parking lot was full, there were photographers and videographers galore. Smokey the Bear was there. The Mora National Fish Hatchery supplied the Gila Trout and the students of New Mexico State University supplied the labor. Fishermen enjoyed the immediate benefits that many others will share in the future. It was a great day for the Whitewater Creek in Catron County. Here’s a short video:
